Roy van de Kerkhof is a seasoned technical specialist with over 24 years of experience in the industry. He is currently the Founder and Technical Director of NovioQ, a company that specializes in helping clients open up their legacy ERP systems like SAP through high-performance web and mobile applications. Roy advises on scalability and security and helps fit new technologies into existing governance and support models. Roy has a strong background in ABAP and OutSystems. He has worked as a Lead ABAP Consultant at Heineken's Centre of Excellence Technology, where he advised internal SAP projects on ABAP design, architecture, build, and delivery, thus increasing the quality of new code delivery and arranging for a smooth transition to maintenance. He was also the main technical/functional troubleshooter when an error occurred in the complex GTM landscape, which involved more than thirty SAP installations, SRM, PI, and Mendix. Roy is an OutSystems specialist and is leading an innovation initiative for a holistic buyer dashboard that combines eight different source systems. Before founding NovioQ, Roy was the Owner of Quirk BV, where he developed websites and apps on top of SAP using OutSystems. He is a senior ABAP consultant with 20+ years of experience and a genuine ABAP all-rounder. Apart from being an innovative senior expert on most major ABAP technologies, Roy has gained experience in several different roles within the ABAP world. He has worked as a developer and team lead on several (greenfield) projects, but also as an ABAP consultant within a support organization. Roy holds a Drs degree in American Studies from Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen and completed his VWO from Carolus Borromeus College. He has expertise in Search, Mobile, and Web technologies.
